Can you believe this is the face of a baby who had major surgery the day before? He's a trooper and doing so well.

Pray for Holden

My sweet, perfect baby boy had surgery today. He is doing ok, but is in some pain now that the IV meds are wearing off.
Please pray for my baby to not be in much pain, to sleep well and to heal quickly.

Back to Regularly Scheduled Programing Next Week

It's been a LONG week! Work was rough Monday and Tuesday and I called out Wednesday cause the baby was starting to get a cold. He was up ALOT Wednesday night and lastnight so we went to the doctor today and he has an ear infection. I pray tonight I get a solid hour of sleep.
Anyway, I will continue the week of Chase next week...

The Week of Chase - Day 2 (a little late)

You became a brother December 17. 2010. At first, you didn't know what to do with Holden - touch him, hold him, talk to him.... In fact, I'm not so sure you liked him. Of course you loved him, but you didn't want to have too much to do with him. Now that Holden is bigger and doing more than sleeping and eating, you often find time in your busy schedule to play with him. You even let him play (chew) on your toys and today traded him your favorite stuffed Elmo for one of his new stuffed animals.
You are the best big brother!! I look forward to seeing you two grow up together. You look just alike and in my head when you are 25 and he's 22 you will look like twins. Maybe...

The Week of Chase - Day 1

On day one of The Week of Chase, I thought I would start with his birth - the best day of my life. The day I became and mother and Rob a father. The day we became a family.
I was in labor a looooong time and ended up having an emergency c-section. We didn't find out what we were having and when the doctor said it was a boy I remember Rob saying to me "It's a boy babe!!!" The days that followed were are a blur of pain and love like I'd never felt before.
Looking through the pics for this post, I got a little sad because he's growing up too fast. He's already 4!! Where did the time go? I wish he could stay little forever, but I know he can't.

Holden was cracking up yesterday when I was doing raspberries on his belly. So cute!!

** On a side note... I feel like I blog about Holden ALOT... More than Chase. The reason: Holden will sit still for me. Chase's day is much to busy to sit still long enough to have his picture taken. Not that I need a pic for every post, but they are nice to have. I think next weeks posts will be dedicated to Chase. The Week of Chase... Should be interesting.

Holden *hearts* Stella....

While down the shore, I was able to enjoy a nice cold Stella after being on the beach all day. Holden kept making this face as I drank it....

Then he tried to grab it from me....

I don't know if it was because it was a bottle (his bottles look nothing like this)... Maybe he liked the color... Who knows. We were cracking up.

Can You Say Tired?

Exhausted is more like it. Poor Chase.
The boys and I took a quick trip down the shore last week. Friday morning we rented an eight person bike with our friends who were down with us. What a mistake! That thing was SO hard to petal!
